It was great to see everyone again after a week break! We began by opening in prayer (thank you Miss A) and sang two worship songs. We spent a good twenty minutes in prayer with our immediate families, lifting them up to God! It was a great time to encourage our own in prayer! Next, we had a time for everyone to share a testimony of what God has been teaching them from the study in the Discovery Journal, from memory passages or the three chapters of John. Families could also share instances of application of God's word in their life. Thank you Mr. M and Miss L for such impactful testimonies of you applying God's word! All were encouraged by all the testimonies shared and we thank you all for taking the time and having the courage to share! ( I (Mrs. C.) think this is going to be my favorite Hive meeting of the summer!) So, *Warning: Picture overload* ;) (And if you want to see the pictures up close, just click the picture and it should enlarge.)
A Glimpse into the Beginner Bees!
We are so excited to have the Beginner Bees working on a special song and verse to be presented at the Celebration Day this year! We pray they are learning more about Jesus and how easy and fun it is to memorize God's word! They are quick to learn and doing a great job cooperating with Miss H and Miss L! We appreciate your enthusiasm and cooperation!
Games- Beach Ball Review and Water Balloon Battleship!
While the Beginner Bees are working on their presentation and craft, the rest of us are reviewing the study with a beach ball! Answer the question your left thumb lands on! Pretty easy overall but a fun way to include everyone and see how we're doing on remembering everything! (At least it was inside!) However, a Hive meeting wouldn't be complete without some kind of outdoor game and this time it was WATER BALLOON BATTLESHIP! Unfortunately, the players were getting a little too warm and we had to speed up the game! Thanks Mr. L and Mr. T for being good sports!
Ice Cream!!!
Even though it was hot, we got to share in a special treat after lunch provided by Mr. N and family! We are very grateful for their service to our group, not to mention the best ice cream recipe on the planet! What a great example of loving others by making and serving ice cream when it was SO hot outside! Much thanks to Mr. O for organizing it!
Fellowship
RecitationA great addition to our meetings this year is giving the opportunity to recite memory passages to one another! Such an uplifting activity! We are impressed with how well the youngest of participants are doing with this! Such openness, confidence and trust! You are an example to us all! | Not only do the youngest recite, but also Bible Bee alumni! Thanks Miss R. for your participation and good example! We're glad you can join us! The challenge this week for recitations was to recite with an accent! We have to say that the M. family did a fabulous job, not only with reciting scriptures, but the variety of accents represented! Amazingly good! |
Thank you everyone for making the time to come to meetings! We pray you are encouraged, challenged and changed!
