We had a wonderful time with you all! We hope you can make it to more meetings, including this Saturday, June 17th! You can look forward to:
Lunch Theme
Taco Bar Toppings: Cooked hamburger, shredded beef, shredded chicken, Cheese, chopped tomatoes, taco shells, soft taco tortillas, lettuce, green onions, olives, sour cream, avocado, salsa. Bring enough for your family and enough to share with another family. Use the form below to tell us what type of taco bar item you are bringing. Bring ice chests to keep cold things cool. Be sure to check the chart so everyone brings something different. Also, consider a side and/or fruit/dessert. Thanks!
Bible Bee Business
~ We sent the Greater Phoenix Bible Bee directory to you in this week's email. Please use it only for encouraging other families and for no other reason!
~ When families reach the bullseye, they will receive a reward bag/basket. Please consider how you might contribute to those rewards! GPBB contributes what they can but it is great when all the families give what they would like to see in the reward bag/basket!
~The Bible Bee camp out is coming up quick! Be sure to check out the details on the tab above!
~ This week is Invite a Guest week! Bring a friend, neighbor, grandparent as we look to be a blessing and encouragement and share our love of God's word with them.
~ Check out a great memorization resource from a Bible Bee Alumni, Elizabeth Ledford! She's added some more songs! https://upholden1.wordpress.com/scripture-memory-music/

Assignments this week
- Encourage someone! See this week's email for details!
- Participants (and parents if you are doing a Senior study) complete five days of your Discovery Journal.
- Memorize the passages they suggest. Ideally, parents and participants alike, will have memorized Genesis 1:1-5 and Psalm 29:1-4 (or appropriate shorter verses for juniors, primaries and beginners). However, passages don't have to be memorized in order and you can do more than the suggested in a week. For meeting purposes, we will follow the journal suggestions.
- Remember how we talked about using all learning modes and lots of repetition to help us memorize and learn something! Why not listen or read Genesis 1 - 3 every day! You can vary your reading of Genesis by reading it aloud to yourself; reading it to someone else; reading it out loud together with a parent or sibling; reading it out loud as a family; taking turns reading it out loud as a family with each person reading a few verses.
- If you have time, write two or three verses of Genesis 1 - 3 in a notebook. Continue two or three verses each day to have a written copy of Genesis 1-3 by the end of the study!
- If you have more ideas, please let us know and we'll post it in the "resources" tab for everyone's encouragement!
That's all folks! Looking forward to seeing you Saturday!
